I have a small balcony (8×10 ft). Using few elements, I have turned it into a family sitting area. Watch the video and pick ideas how you can utilize your dead space into an attractive sit out.

People ask a lot about the artificial I grass which I have used in my balcony. Here are few points I would like to share –

1. Availability –  At most furnishing shops in several varieties.
2. Cost – Price range starts from Rs. 90 to Rs. 200 per square ft. Mine is for Rs. 110/sq ft and since my balcony is 8 x 10 ft, it costed me Rs. 8000.
3. Maintenance – Easy. Just like any carper or rug, once in two weeks or so, take it off, get the cleaning and mopping done of the floor, sweep the grass and place it back.
4. Effect of atmosphere – Although sunlight and water doesn’t affect it much, still if and when exposed to long duration of direct, harsh sunlight, it might fade of little bit.
